While trying to get a good shot of them I knelt down on what I thought was Lemon Balm but...BIG MISTAKE...
...unfortunately it was Stinging Nettle! Ouch!!! So I won't forget taking that photo for a long, long time.
Still I did end up getting a few photos despite the stinging pain in my knee.
Once the Dahlias have all finished flowering I can then compare the photos with those taken last year to find out what colours didn't 'appear' this year.
However, I am hoping to improve the quality of my photos with this little beauty which arrived today. When I was at the coast last November my brother drove down from his home further up the coast to visit us and when I said I was thinking about saving up for a DSLR camera in order to take better photos, he offered me his hardly used camera which he would give me the next time he visited us. I was very excited and immediately booked in for an online course which was on special at the time and have been anxiously waiting for the arrival of my new camera. Well...today was the day! I have no idea how to use it at the moment. However, between an online course and the book of instructions I hope to be able to at least find out how to turn it on in the coming week. :-)
I also have no idea what online courses are like but if my photos start looking like Kelly's from Kelly Casanova I will be very happy. Kelly is currently doing an online photography course. Aren't her photos fabulous? So if anyone is looking for me over the weekend you just know I will have my face in the instruction book for a Nikon D3100.
Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
