I do love our Kookaburras and was able to zoom in to take this photo this morning. I know my Northern Hemisphere readers love seeing what our wildlife looks like. These birds aren't as cheeky as the Cockatoos and don't let you get so close.
However, the camera has to be put away and work has to be done. I am continuing on the low-sugar intake journey and recently made this Paleo Inside Out Bread which was extremely tasty and didn't last very long in this household.
I have been patiently waiting for our turmeric to be ready to dig up as I want to experiment with some recipes which include turmeric this winter. It is said to be great for colds, congestion, headaches and sore throats and as we are now getting the usual warnings on the TV news about a deadly strain of flu virus which is about to reach our shores (which we hear every year without fail), it might be beneficial to start thinking about drinking some Golden Milk which I wrote about last year.
Just a reminder that this weekend our Simple Living Toowoomba group is having a Hexagon Paper Piecing Workshop so do come along if you live in the region as you will be most welcome.
Now I really must get out the Instruction Booklet for my new camera and try to understand the ins and outs of taking photos with a DSLR camera. Such a learning curve at my age! LOL!
Have a great week everyone!
