As I will be visiting my grandchildren in Mt.Isa in a couple of weeks time my first priority is to finish off my little grandson's rag quilt which is being made in the fabric my girl has decorated his room in. I need to sew on another few rows and then the tedious task of cutting the seam edges needs to be done before the washing and drying process starts. There really isn't any hurry for the quilt though as it is still 35C up there.
I have nearly finished a scarf which is going to become an infinity scarf and I just have to join the ends together.
This is quite an easy pattern which suits a basic knitter like myself and it is called a One Row Lace Scarf .
I have also started up a scarf using the same pattern but using a much softer yarn which has mohair in it. The yarn was from Lifeline so I really scored well.
This is a little skirt for Miss Five who is soon to become Miss Six. She loves dogs and I bought the doggie fabric when she was about two and was making her a dress out of it when I scorched it. I was so disappointed and just put it away in a drawer. I unearthed it the other day and was able to cut off enough fabric to make a skirt by adding some plain fabric as well.
I thought I would give Tunisian Crochet a try and started making a dishcloth but it was going to be a tad too small so I undid it. I followed Tunisian Crochet Basics from Purl Soho and found that I quite liked following the pattern.
It could become addictive.
Last but not least is this dishcloth which is being knitted with string. I am making it a bit bigger than normal as the string does shrink. The pattern has lots of different names including Easy Everyday Dishcloth. It is a fairly easy pattern to start off with. I am no expert as is obvious but I don't think the dirty dishes will mind ;-) Practice makes perfect as they say.
So there you have it. I am going to finish these before I start another project. How about you? Do you have many UFOs or do you finish what you start?
