My swap partner enclosed a note saying that apart from the coloured buttons above......
the buttons are from her 'Lands and Lake' collection .....
which depict the stones on the shore line of the Great Lakes.....
and slices of the maple and pine trees that grow in this area.
I am just amazed at the shapes she has created from polymer clay. I am sure I will have no trouble using these unique buttons in future projects and they will always remind me of Canada when I look at them. I visited Canada in the 1970s and was struck by the beauty of the mountains and lakes.
I hope my swap partner is as pleased with my choice of gift as I am with hers! What do you think? Aren't these buttons amazing?
What beautiful buttons. I visited Canada too, early 80's, and quite fell in love with the place.
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous. What a nice surprise to come home to!
ReplyDeleteYou were spoilt!! They are beautiful, and quite unique.
ReplyDeleteSuch a love lot of special buttons Nanna Chel. Beautifully handcrafted :)
ReplyDeleteChel, they are so lovely, lucky you. I am sure they will be put to good use for the girls.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your comments. The buttons are quite unique. I might buy some polymer clay and have a go at making some too.
