BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE!

I am sure that most Aussies have seen the 'BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE! ads on our TV screens over the years for products that promise to change our life, our health, our figure and so on. I am not sure whether it is because TV is so boring these days that the product promoting channels seem more interesting than the other channels but the CEO has been watching the ads for the NutriBullet lately and is quite impressed by its powerful 600W motor so the order was placed for one last Saturday and on Thursday it arrived!

The NutriBullet is more expensive than the Magic Bullet (which has a 200W motor) made by the same company so this will be the CEO's Father's Day and Birthday gift for the next ten years! :-)

The cups are made from BPA free plastic and, although I would prefer glass, I think the plastic cups will last longer as we have a few clumsy people in this household including myself as my fingers are starting to get stiff from arthritis. We do have a old and heavy juicer which is rarely used as it is quite cumbersome to get in and out of the cupboard so I am sure the smaller size of the NutriBullet will guarantee that it will be used much more.

Also it does the work of a food processor and chops up nuts which is a great asset. The Milling Blade can be used to turn dry ingredients such as oats, nuts and seeds into powders. The other blade is the Extractor Blade which is used to make Nutriblasts from leafy greens, fruit, as well as nuts, seeds or goji berries and water. I am looking forward to including herbs like Brahmi, which is quite bitter, in a Nutriblast as it will taste more palatable.

As the advertisement says  'BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE!

Also included was a hardcover Natural Healing Foods Book as well as the 160 page User Guide and Recipe Book....

...a 28cm StoneCote Frying Pan with....

...would you believe...a Multi Purpose Turner!!! You would never have imagined that would you? LOL! Sorry, I am being facetious. :-)

BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE!!!

An 11 piece Swiss Sword Knife Set! These will be packed away for the time being as knives and I aren't on the best of terms as I am always cutting myself when preparing vegetables and sometimes feel like I should have shares in the company that makes Band-Aids.  They look very sharp!!!

So there you have it...there is no more! All jokes aside I think the NutriBullet will make it easier to include more vegetables in our daily diet as I know that some days I don't eat five servings of vegetables. It is much easier to eat the required two servings of fruit I find.

Hopefully we will soon be jumping out of our skins with vim and vigour!

  1. We purchased one of these recently but haven't used it yet.

I think I still prefer my juicer, as the juice is supposedly better for you as it gives your body an instant boost as it doesn't have to break down the fiber, therefore the micro nutrients can do their work quicker. I think that is how it works, I asked Dr Google the difference between a juicer and nutribullet :)

  2. We had a demo of the NutriBullet at WW and I didnt like the texture of the nutriblast. Too pulpy for me - but I guess I would make mine different.
I like my juicer too and we've been having lovely morning juice. I have cut back the fruit and added more carrot and celery to back the sugar down. After I pour hubby's out I throw in a raw beetroot too!

  3. Tania and Joolz, I can tell you are both juicer girls. The one drink I made was too thick but apparently I could add more water to solve the problem. Hubby had better use the Nutribullet or else.....!

    1. Well, I really don't need the knives Barb. However the frypan will certainly come in handy.

  5. My sister has the bullet and loves it. I have the pan and love it. The knives im sure will come in handy for yourself or a gift. My hubby laughed and said between the two of us we were dangerous. I constantly burn myself. Have a good week.

    1. Lynda, I haven't used the frypan as yet but they do look good in the advertisements. Now I have to find a place for all this extra 'stuff'. :-)

  6. we have those knives had them for about 10 years, they are not too bad, i think the steak knives are great we use them most weeks. If your knives are sharp your less likely not to cut yourself.

the Nutri Bullet was the other personal blender i researched before i decided on the Tribest, i hope it turns out to be all you hope. the fry pan looks good have to let me know if its as good as they show on tv.

  7. Nicole, I told my hubby about the Tribest but he wanted the more powerful motor as I think the Tribest has a 200W motor. I would prefer the glass like you have but I don't think it would last long here unfortunately.

  8. Hope you enjoy the toy, and get lots of vitamins in your diet, those knives are the same as the one I had at the last workshop, they are like giant razor blades and do an Awesome job of cutting anything you are preparing.
I Loooove mine (bought second hand at markets) and can't wait to find another, maybe we could do a swap for something ?

    1. Margaret, I thought about your knife when I was unpacking them the other day. I was thinking of trying it out when I make my next lot of fermented vegetables but if I cut myself I will ask the CEO if he minds if I give it away although I am not sure he really looked at what was in the box of knives as he was too interested in the NutriBullet which has been getting a good workout. Lots of thick green drinks have been consumed in the last few days.

  9. Lol, just thinking of how "regular" all those drinks will keep you :P! Might have to buy myself a Nutribullet in the future and whiz up some blood pressure lowering concoctions.
