Sally tricks Nanna AGAIN!
As mentioned in my post Farewell Sally! I had intended writing a little story for my grandchildren so will finish it off and they can read it while on school holidays.

Farewell Sally!
Some of my readers who have been reading this blog for a few months or so would have heard about Sally the chook whose antics have entertained me since she came to live here just after Christmas last year. She was at the top of the pecking order in her previous home and upset my friend so much that she asked us to take her as she didn't have room to separate her from the other chooks. Of course when she arrived here she wasn't taken to kindly by our chooks who started pecking her in turn so we had to remove her from the others and she became my little pet in a way.

A cold, windy and rainy Sunday
Well the forecast was for a wet winter and the Weather Bureau just might be right! It was fascinating watching the radar over the weekend and seeing the rain band move from the North West of Queensland to the South East then over the border into New South Wales. The Mt.Isa Show was on last Saturday and I believe some events had to be cancelled after the rain arrived. I did warn my son-in-law it was coming :-) He calls me his weatherman/lady. Anyway, I think the children did have a few hours there before it got too wet. It was just overcast here in the South East but you could tell there was rain coming.

Silly Sally Spots a Scary Stranger
This is another little story for my grandchildren. The girls are on school holidays so my seven year old granddaughter can read this to her younger sister and baby brother. She tells me she has written a book so I look forward to reading it when I visit in a few weeks time.
