Sally tricks Nanna AGAIN!

As mentioned in my post Farewell Sally! I had intended writing a little story for my grandchildren so will finish it off and they can read it while on school holidays.

This is another little story for my grandchildren. The girls are on school holidays so my seven year old granddaughter can read this to her younger sister and baby brother. She tells me she has written a book so I look forward to reading it when I visit in a few weeks time.

Meet Sally the Chook

This is a little story for my grandchildren about a new chook who came to live with us after Christmas. I told my daughter there would be a story for the girls to read after school tomorrow. :-)

Ummm, I can't remember his name! ~ A story for my grandchildren.

I promised my little granddaughters I would write them a story and that when I visit in three weeks time I hope that they have a story written for me too. They are only 6 and 5 and are early readers so Mum or Dad might have to read this to them. It is just a silly story along the lines of the old one about the fact that cauliflowers will start growing behind their ears if they didn't wash there when taking a bath. At the time they hadn't seen a cauliflower so imagine the surprise when they discovered what they looked like. ;-)


I am not a story writer and I know this is a silly one and I also am aware that some of the animals probably aren't male but it was just easier to call them that. Our local shopping centre, Grand Central, is currently featuring these animals, some of which are animated and let out the odd roar, in their Safari Zoo Adventure. They are also promoting our small but growing local zoo, Darling Downs Zoo, which is home to meerkats and white lions as well as lots of other animals. The centre is currently upgrading as you can see in some of the photos.

The girls will need to name the animals.  So here we go with Ummm, I can't remember his name!

What Did Nanna See?

This is a story for my little granddaughters. When I was visiting in May, Miss Six was reading her books to her little sister who is in Prep and her baby brother who was just as interested in the story as his big sisters judging by the look of him. In Prep the children are learning to recognise numbers and the letters of the alphabet so I thought I would try and help with a little story about numbers.

 

Okay...WHO is the culprit?

This is a story for my little granddaughters. Miss Six is now in Year 1 and can read really well and Miss Four  has a love for animals. My daughter was saying that Miss Six reads my blog so I thought I would write a little story for them and feature some of the wildlife we have around our 1/2 acre. You might like to read along as well :-)

No Nashi Pears for Nanna!

This is a little story for my grandchildren. I 'discovered' a Nashi Pear tree growing the other day and was hoping to be able to save some from the wildlife by covering the fruit with bags I intended to sew up. However, as you can tell from the story....I was too late :-

A BIRTHDAY STORY FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER

I have a little granddaughter who turns 4 years old today. She loves wildlife so I thought I would write a little story for her birthday. As it won't take you long to work out, I am not a story teller but children don't care and I know that she will love reading about all the birds and animals which frequent her backyard and ours. This is purely a fictional story and any resemblance to factual information is purely accidental. :-)
