Autumn is upon us!

It seems that just a few weeks ago here in Queensland we were complaining about the heat and humidity. However in the last week or so the temperatures have changed dramatically and we found ourselves having to dig out our winter clothes to keep warm.

Pesky possums!

Does anyone else have issues with possums? My hubby bought a beautiful (and expensive) dahlia last week and just as well I took a photo of it as the next day all the flowers had disappeared....obviously the possum was eating anything that looked appetising in its path although I didn't know they ate dahlia flowers.

This and that

I hope that everyone enjoyed the Easter break. I remember when I was a child that most shops and businesses would be shut for days as it was a very sacred time but times have changed a lot since then. Gone are the days when banks were shut for so long and there was no online banking nor ATMs around which wasn't really a problem as there weren't many places open to spend money anyway. LOL!

Which is your favourite?

At this time of the year we normally have a lot of dahlias growing and after the recent rain, courtesy of tropical cyclone Debbie, they have sprung up everywhere despite many bulbs being dug out by the chooks unfortunately. Destructive little things that they are.

Just flumping around!

I learned a new word this week from Mimi on her blog A Tray of Bliss when I read about what it means to 'flump'. As she says 'It means to fall or sit down heavily. Similar words include plonk, fall, plop, drop and slump. You get the idea. It's when you just Can't. Be. Bothered'.

Well, that word perfectly described how I felt this week!

What do you say when you have nothing to say?

Do you ever have brain fog? Well, that is what I have tonight. So....what do you say when you have nothing to say?
