Another month gone

Recently we have had fires in Queensland which thankfully have been doused a little in the SE by some thunderstorms and general rain. We had about 24mls here but other places scored a lot more rain.

Heatwaves and Fires

The last few weeks have been horrendous for many Aussies who have been caught in the firing line of the dreadful fires that have swept through New South Wales and Queensland. We have had a couple not all that far from us and it is very daunting to see smoke billowing into the sky just a few kilometres away.

Almost there!

At long last the painting and carpet laying is nearly finished. There is a bit of a glitch with the paintwork which the painters will be looking at soon and then the inside of the house will have been freshened up after being long overdue for some TLC but I still have to find a home for everything so hopefully there will be a few trips to the Op Shop to donate whatever I can happily live without.
