It's in the bag ~ Share the Dignity.

Last year I heard about the charity called Share the Dignity which was started to provide sanitary products to homeless women many of which are victims of domestic violence who have had to leave their homes at a moment's notice. From 19th November to 3rd December the 'It's in the Bag' campaign is asking Aussies to fill a bag they no longer need with items that would make a woman feel special and to let her know she matters and that someone cares about her.

Have you heard of 'Share the Dignity'? Well, I hadn't until this week when I was watching the TV news and flicking between channels during the ads and came across this video on The Project about the uncomfortable situation women find themselves in when they are homeless.

Buy a suspended coffee for the homeless

Have you ever heard of a suspended coffee? Well, I hadn't until I saw a local TV news segment featuring a 'hole in the wall' cafe called Bounce in our CBD where you can pay for a coffee for another person and when enough have been paid for vouchers are then given to a local charity to be handed out to the needy.
