Nanna has been minding him while Mum is out so we have been going for little walks to the front gate to watch the traffic and to look at mummy's lovely roses and flowers.
Then he has had a swing while listening to the birds in the gum trees.
With the new pants starting to fall down it is time to head back inside for a snooze.
Life is never dull with three children. I thought I was busy with two! My girl has made two lovely meals with the Thermomix so hopefully it will save her some time and washing up. The machine just about talks to you. It should be good quality as German technology is world renowned. I think it just takes a little bit of getting used to as it is a different way of cooking. I will do a post on the Thermomix later on for those who don't know anything about it like myself. There might be some readers who might like to learn about what they do.
I hope everyone is keeping well wherever you are. I don't think there has been any rain since I left home so I must ask the menfolk if my veggies are being watered. I won't be a happy little vegemite if they die while I am away ;-) I do hope the white buttefly hasn't discovered my brassicas. Then again Sally the chook may have already been chewing on them. The joys of gardening!

Awe, they're so sweet at that age. I can see you are thoroughly enjoying your Nana duties. My kids are always between sizes though, lol. I tend to buy too large than too small, that way they get a few years out of them. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to get the right size especially up here as there are only really 2 stores to shop from and I don't think you can even buy fabric here to make your own.
ReplyDeleteSpecial and precious times spent with your daughter and gorgeous little one are heartwarming to see Chel. I recall there being quite a good op-shop in Mt Isa when we were passing through with our caravan a couple of years ago. Enjoy every moment with that precious little boy.
ReplyDeleteSally, I haven't had a chance to Op Shop. My girl has a hectic lifestyle at times. I have seen a few nomads here in the shopping centre. They are easy to spot ;-)
DeleteWhat a sweet little fellow! It must be so lovely to be spending time with them, did he like is raggedy quilt? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of my thermie, it's saving me many, many dishes, though I'm still learning how to use it. I LOVE you can buy parts for it if something breaks. We broke a lid as my husband dropped it and $40 and within a week I had a new lid!
xx
Glad to hear you like yours, Emma. My girl is still getting used to it of course. I don't think my grandson has actually seen his rag quilt yet. He is such a lovely child with a wonderful temperament.
DeleteIt looks like you are one very happy Nana. Enjoy your time with your daughter and grand-kids. Love the yarn you are using and your grandson is very very gorgeous. Guida
ReplyDeleteHe is indeed very gorgeous, Guida.
DeleteSo cute! Even going for a little stroll is an adventure for them at that age. I really like that yarn. Will you be posting a photo of the scarf when it is finished?
ReplyDeleteYes Sherri, I will do that soon. I just have to join the ends and make it into an infinity scarf.
DeleteI am glad you are having a loevely time with your daughter and Grandchildren. Great op shop find too! Love finding wool! Enjoy every moment. With love Annabelxxx
ReplyDeleteIt was a lovely time, Annabel. I won't see the grandchildren for another six months or so now.
