Well, another Christmas is upon us so I just wanted to wish you all much happiness and joy on this special day. It will be a quiet one here as normally we have my elderly sister here to join us for lunch but she is unwell this year so won't be here. I have happy memories of Christmas in the past from when I was growing up and when our children were little to give me comfort.
A friend gave me a Blood Lily a few years ago and it has flowered for the first time this year.

We have had a new roof put on courtesy of our insurance company. It went up in two days and, as we had dangerous storms at the time, I was holding my breath till it was finished and it was, just in time!
The solar panels are still leaning up against the side of the house but should be put up after the Christmas break that tradies have. I don't envy them for the job they have as it must be terribly hot working on a roof in over 30C heat.
Anyway I just wanted to write a short post to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and I hope that 2026 is a healthy and joyful one for you all. Who knows what the New Year will bring but I pray you will be pleasantly surprised.
